Dr. Raymond LEE started his career in investment banking at the Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was trained in Switzerland, the banking center of the world (mainly covering global treasury business of international banks), and managed and traded assets amounting to more than US$100 million for banks. He was later appointed by the Hong Kong Government as a project researcher for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) (focusing on the development of the fund management industry across Asia), and was a lecturer and researcher at a number of universities (The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Hong Kong Metropolitan University). Funded by the World Bank, he later became a Visiting Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China (PBoC), focusing on the training of elites in China’s financial industry (most of the graduates are employed by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) or the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC)). Upon his return to Hong Kong, Dr. LEE was actively involved in the consultancy work for the securities and futures practitioners’ statutory licensing qualification examinations which were under reform at the time and was an independent assessor for the relevant statutory licensing professional examinations. Dr. LEE is currently the Chairperson of AleeanPeace Group Holdings Limited and a licensed executive director of an authorized trustee company under the Hong Kong Trustee Ordinance. His professional consultancy work specializes in designing appropriate trust structures and wealth management for family office clients. He is a renowned senior economist in Hong Kong and frequently publishes articles on economic and financial markets in academic journals, newspapers and magazines.

Dr. LEE has served as an independent assessor for a number of professional examinations (including the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Practitioners Licensing Examinations, the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers Professional Examinations, etc.), and has been a guest speaker for the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, a number of universities, post-secondary colleges, professional institutes and major organizations. He has also been awarded the “Best Instructor” by the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute.
